Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Ayyan Astro Academy Jadhagam website and Android application (Trusted Web Activity).
1. Who we are
The service is operated for Ayyan Astro Academy students, teachers, and administrators. For privacy questions or data requests, contact: sivaram.net@live.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — username or email and credentials needed to sign in.
- Profile and chart data — name, gender (if provided), birth date, birth time, birth place, and coordinates used to calculate Vedic charts.
- In-app content — notes, learning progress, and other content you create while signed in.
- Device / session data — when device registration is enabled, an install identifier and related login session information to limit account use to an approved device.
- Technical logs — standard server logs such as IP address, browser/app user agent, and timestamps, used for security and reliability.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
3. How we use information
- To provide astrology charts, dasha timelines, learning lessons, and related academy features.
- To authenticate users and manage access (including admin approvals and account expiry).
- To protect the service against abuse, unauthorized access, and fraud.
- To respond to support and privacy requests.
4. Where data is stored
Application data is stored on cloud infrastructure we control (currently Microsoft Azure App Services) and transmitted using HTTPS. Access is limited to authorized operators of the academy service.
5. Sharing
We do not share personal chart or account data with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law, or to service providers who only process data to host or operate this service on our behalf.
6. Retention and deletion
Account and profile data are kept while your academy account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward if needed for security, legal, or administrative purposes. To request correction or deletion of your data, contact your academy administrator or sivaram.net@live.com. We will handle reasonable requests subject to legal and operational requirements.
7. Children’s privacy
This service is intended for adult students and authorized users. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region).
8. Your choices
- You may stop using the app and ask an administrator to deactivate your account.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data as described above.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
